Fred Rothman has 23 years of diverse experience as a leader in the real estate industry in New Jersey and Florida. He has founded numerous companies and has an extensive background in acquisition, financing and development of diverse and complex projects ranging from single-family homes to apartments, as well as commercial and retail centers. Mr. Rothman began his career as a real estate attorney with the prestigious New York law firm of Kronish Lieb Weiner and Hellman, after graduating at the top of his class from New York University School of Law. Prior thereto, he was graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. After leaving the practice of law in 1985, he became a Senior Project Manager for Toll Brothers, Inc., a large publicly traded real estate developer. In that capacity, he was responsible for all facets of acquiring, developing, marketing and building various projects in New Jersey. He left Toll Brohers to become the Vice President of Development and Acquisition for Calton Homes Inc., another large publicly traded real estate company. While at Calton, Mr. Rothman was responsible for acquiring and developing real estate throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In 1990, Mr. Rothman formed SCR Financial Services to capture the many opportunities for consulting work and acquisitions that resulted from the real estate collapse of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Mr. Rothman worked primarily for large financial institutions and corporations in developing strategies to maximize the value of troubled assets and properties. Mr. Rothman became a founding partner of SGS Communities, Inc. in 1992 and used his contacts in the banking industry to acquire many properties throughout New Jersey and Florida. SGS became one of the most successful real estate developers of the 1990s and Mr. Rothman guided that company as its Chief Executive Officer and President. He grew SGS into a diverse real estate company with over 100 employees and annual revenue in excess of $90 million dollars. He elected to sell most of the company's assets in 1996 to DR Horton, Inc., one of the giant publicly traded homebuilders. As the New Jersey Division President of DR Horton, Mr. Rothman continued to be responsible for all operations of the company through 2001. In 2001, Mr. Rothman and his family moved to Delray Beach, Florida where he became the President of his newly merged companies known as Paramount Residential. Paramount was a highly regarded builder of homes in Palm Beach County and Mr. Rothman expanded the company into multiple developments throughout Southeast Florida. During this time, he also formed JLA Realty Advisors, LLC, a Florida based real estate consulting company, which provides services to oversee the management of complex real estate loan transactions throughout the United States. In 2006, Paramount Residential undertook a venture with Lennar Corporation, one of the largest homebuilders in America. As a result of that venture, Mr. Rothman is now a Regional President of Lennar responsible for all homebuilding operations in the Northeast and Florida. Mr. Rothman is an accomplished real estate developer and corporate manager with diverse experience and a strong record of profitability and success. He is married with two children and resides in Delray Beach, Florida. He has also served on the boards of a number of local charities and is very active in local political, civic and religious organizations.
