As a Director for RSM McGladrey and McGladrey & Pullen, Joey provides accounting, tax, and consulting advice to law firms and other professional service organizations, as well as, wholesale distributors, software development and travel organizations. He has handled income and sales tax audits, tax planning and has assisted clients with their exit strategies. In addition, he is certified in Florida sales and use tax. Joey was formerly a Director and member of the Executive Committee with another major Florida firm. In 1998, he became the Chief Financial Officer of Embassy CES, a national chain of language schools. Several months after joining the Company, he negotiated and structured the sale of the family-owned, privately held company to a large public company from the United Kingdom. Subsequent to the sale and after spending a year assisting in the transition, he spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer of two major South Florida law firms. |
