Marcy Hahn-Saperstein

Marcy Hahn-Saperstein is a health care attorney in the Boca Raton, FL office of Proskauer Rose LLP, an international full service law firm. Her prior career in health care finance and her prior service as General Counsel and Secretary of Boca Raton Regional Hospital, its corporate parent and related foundation, provide her with unique insight into the business challenges confronting both for-profit and not-for- profit participants in the health care industry.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, and before commencing her legal career, Marcy was a commercial banker to the health care industry. At National Westminster Bank USA in Manhattan, Marcy managed a $100 million commercial loan portfolio comprised solely of companies in the health care industry, including acute care and specialty hospitals, nursing home chains and other health care providers and industry suppliers. In that capacity, she organized and led multi-bank transactions, performed credit analyses, prepared credit proposals, and evaluated loan structure viability.

Upon her graduation, cum laude, from Cardozo Law School at Yeshiva University, where she was editor of its Law Review, she received the Outstanding Law Graduate Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers. Following graduation, she joined Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft in New York, the oldest law firm in the country. She left the firm to accept a federal clerkship with the Honorable Shelby Highsmith, a federal district court judge in the Southern District of Florida. Upon her completion of her clerkship, she joined the health care department of the Miami headquarters of Greenberg Traurig, LLP. For over a decade in her current practice at Proskauer, Marcy has been structuring, negotiating, and performing health care regulatory analyses for corporate transactions, and advising health care providers and other types of health care entities that are confronting an ever-changing business and regulatory environment.
